How to Prepare for Your Photoshoot

1. Outfits — What to Wear

Keep it simple. Neutral, earthy or soft tones (beige, cream, brown, olive, white, light grey, etc.) photograph beautifully and don’t distract from your emotions or connection.

Avoid heavy patterns or logos. These can pull attention away from your face and may feel dated later.

Dress for movement. Glowy dresses, loose shirts, and natural fabrics always look soft and timeless.

Coordinate, don’t match. For couples or families — try to choose colors that go well together instead of wearing the exact same thing.

Feel free to send me outfit options before the shoot — I’m always happy to help you decide!

2. Hair, Makeup & Details

Go with a look that feels like you — just slightly elevated. If you’re not sure, light makeup that evens skin tone, softens the face, and enhances your natural beauty is always a safe choice.

Bring a hairbrush, lip balm, and tissues — just in case.

Clean nails and simple accessories always look lovely in close-up shots.

3. Before the Shoot

Get a good night’s sleep. It really shows!

Eat a light meal before we shoot — no one feels confident when they’re hungry.

If you have kids involved, bring snacks and something they love (a favorite toy, etc.).

Try not to overthink — you don’t need to “perform.” Just be present and trust me to guide you gently.

4. During the Session

I’ll give you direction, but nothing stiff or unnatural.

I want you to move, breathe, laugh, be quiet — just be.

The best photos come when you forget the camera is there. That’s my job — and you can trust me to take care of the rest.

Final Thoughts

Your session should feel like a break from routine — a moment to slow down and connect. You don’t have to be “photogenic” or know what to do. You just have to show up as you are.

I’ll handle the rest with heart and care.

See you soon ✨
